Chrome Chalcedony Druzy Ring in Sterling Silver Size 7
This amazing gemstone is known as "druzy chrome chalcedony." It is a rare and fairly new discovery only found in Turkey. The green color comes from the presence of chromium. Many specimens have orange spots due to the presence of iron, but there is only a slight bit of it in this particular gem. The druzy effect refers to tiny crystals on the surface that cause these pieces to sparkle beautifully from every angle in the light.
Set in a scalloped sterling silver bezel, soldered to handstamped 20 gauge sterling silver sheet. I've adorned one side of the ring face with 6 sterling silver droplets. Soldered to a wide, textured size 7 ring band. The dimensions of the ring face are 1" in length, 3/4" in width, & 1/2" in height.
