Turitella (Snail) Agate Heart Pendant with Herkimer Diamond Point in Sterling Silver
If your Valentine is more nerdy or naturalist, this pendant will be the perfect gift! The heart is cut from "Turitella" snail agate, and is blackish brown with cream delineations of fossilized snail shells. Here, I googled it:
Turritella Agate is the popular name used for a brown, translucent to semi-transparent, fossiliferous agate found in the Green River Formation of Wyoming. It is very easy to recognize because it contains large fossil snails that stand out in a white-to-tan color that contrasts with the brownish agate.
I paired it with a chunky Herkimer Diamond point, because snails love diamonds. :p Oh, and I soldered a tiny silver flame to each side of the Herkimer diamond, because snails are flaming fast. Ok, I got a little goofy with this one. Set in a double layer of sterling silver sheet. Oxidized (blackened) in liver of sulphur and then polished to bring out the shine.
Purchase the pendant alone to put on your own chain, or add a chain from the drop down menu.
*Chains are only available for purchase WITH the pendant.*
