The Woodland Collection - Lichen & Moss Terrarium Pendant in Sterling Silver

New for Autumn 2020, the Woodland collection features handcrafted one-of-a-kind sterling silver jewelry inspired by terrariums & the forest floor.  You'll find clear domed resin cabochons filled with moss bark & lichen, cast sterling silver twigs, leaves, toadstools, seeds & pinecones. Acorns & gingko leaves are sawed and stamped by hand. There are golden brass fallen leaves, semiprecious gemstones, insect wings & more!

This pendant was created on a base one layer of 24 gauge sterling silver sheet & a back layer of 21 gauge sterling silver sheet.  Each layer is sawed by hand. A small round, dome-shaped clear resin cab filled with moss & lichen is the focal, & is set in a serrated bezel. Ornate & detailed curved brass leaves are soldered oneither side. This pendant measures 1 3/8" wide & 1 1/8" tall. Suspended from an 18" sterling silver rolo chain & finished with a lobster clasp closure. The entire piece is oxidized in liver of sulphur, burnished & hardened in a tumbler, & then polished by hand to bring out shine & the highlights of the silver.
