Tiffany Stone Pendant in Sterling Silver
This is such a beautiful purple gemstone! Tiffany stone was mined in Utah, and is scarce because the mine is now closed. Its appearance is primarily comprised of rich purples, blending with delicate lavender, creamy whites, and inky blacks. This stone is primarily composed of purple fluorite, with a matrix of bertrandite & chalcedony.
I've set the stone in a plain bezel on 2 layers of handstamped sterling silver sheet. Hung from an 18" bright sterling silver rolo chain with lobster clasp closure. The entire piece is oxidized with liver of sulphur & tumbled with steel shot to polish it, and also accentuate the highlights and bring dimension to the piece.
