Sunstone & Super Seven Pendants in Sterling Silver
Two beautiful autumnal stones. The purple triangular stone is called "super seven" & is an amazing crystal that contains a combination of up to seven different stones: Amethyst, Clear Quartz. Smoky Quartz, Cacoxenite, Rutile, Geothite and Lepidocrocite. This stone is purple, with gold rutiles that mimic those in the other stone. The second stone is sunstone, which is a member of the Feldspar family, and is named for its warm shades of gold, orange, reds and browns that sparkle like the sun. Inclusions of Goethite or Hematite refract light between the different crystal layers and produce an iridescent effect as the stone is viewed from various angles. This stone has so many iridescent gold rutiles that it resembles sparkly amber.
Both stones are set in sterling silver bezels and soldered to sterling silver sheet. Sterling beaded wire encircle each. Both have been oxidized in liver of sulphur and buffes to bring out the highlights of the silver. 18" Sterling silver rolo chain with lobster clasp closure.
The super seven pendant measures 1 3/4" wide and 1 1/2" tall.
The sunstone pendant measures 1" wide and 1 3/8" tall.
