Blue Cardinal & Poppy Necklace - Upcycled China in Sterling Silver

This one-of-a-kind birdie has been created in keeping with a Verdilune philosophy - recycle, reuse, renew!  The bird "cabochon" is created from broken china by artist Sierra Stone Studios. This particular bird has tiny blue flowers on a cream background. It is cracked toward the tail, but securely set. Set in a smooth bezel on a layer of 21 gauge sterling silver sheet.  It sits on a cast sterling silver branch and is adorned with a cast sterling leaf and cabochons of mother of pearl & kyanite.  It measures 3" wide and 1 1/8" tall. 18" oxidized sterling silver beaded chain with lobster clasp closure. The entire piece is oxidized with liver of sulphur and buffed and polished to bring out the highlights of the metal.
