Carved Moonstone and Burro Creek Jasper Pendant
A luminescent white moonstone teardrop is the focal of this pendant, and has been carved into the shape of a leaf. The stone is iridescent, and you can see many other colors refracted when the stone moves in the light. It is set in a sterling silver bezel setting and dangles beneath a rectangular lavender-purple stone known as Burro Creek Jasper. This stone is also framed bu a sterling silver bezel and soldered to 20 gauge sterling silver sheet. Sterling beaded wire was used to make bails. At the top of the main bail, another moonstone - this time a chunky little crescent moon - stands out like a crown. The entire piece is oxidized with liver of sulphur, and then polished to bring out the highlights of the silver. 18" hefty sterling rolo chain, finished with a lobster clasp closure.
