Shooting Amber Starflower Earrings in Brass & Copper
Constructed entirely from scratch, these "starflower" earrings were designed by my son & me late one night while playing around with stones and a sketchbook. Each component has been sawed by hand out brass sheet. Tiny amber cabochons form the center of each star, with each set in sterling silver bezels. The double layer star is soldered to a brass leafy stem. Dangling beneath are carved brown quartz leaves, ser in serrated sterling silver bezels on brass. Each earring has been oxidized in liver of sulphur and polished to bring out the highlights. Sterling silver leverback earwires. Total length is 3".
