Surfite and Sterling Silver Pendant in Pale Mint Green and Tangerine Orange
The Summer 2018 collection is here, featuring the bold, bright pops of color found in one of a kind surfite cabochons like the one in this pendant. Surfite is layered resin built up from the process of glassing surfboards. Google "surfite stone", and then for extra fun, google fordite, which is similar, but is made of layers of paint that has built up during the process of painting cars. The stones are sunny and happy, and have hues of royal blue, turquoise blue, juicy orange, bright yellow, etc.
This particular pendant contains a long, thin, surfite cabochon with hues of pale mint green, aqua, and bright tangerine orange. Set in a sterling silver bezel, and soldered to two layers of textured sterling silver sheet. The pendant measures 2 1/2" in length and 1/2" wide. The pendant is oxidized (darkened) in liver of sulphur and buffed and polished to bring out highlights.
Order the pendant alone and add your own chain, or with an 18" oxidized 1.9mm sterling silver rolo chain, finished with a lobster clasp closure. Leave a message when checking out if you would like a shorter or longer chain. Up to 20 inches for no extra charge and $2.00 per inch for anything longer.
