Vintage Tin Repurposed Earrings with Gyan Mudra Hands
I collect vintage English biscuit tins, and love to turn them into wearable pieces. The problem is, I've become so attached to the tins I've collected over the years, that I've dreaded cutting them up. It's so much better to share their beauty though!
This floral pattern is set on a black background, with bright, bold hues of blue, red, yellow, green and many other colors. I've used rivets to connect modern bold brass geometric components. Brass lever back ear hooks. Dangling beneath are tiny cast bronze Buddhist gyan mudra hands with eyes in the palms. Worn for protection and as a symbol to "fear not". 2 1/2" long.
PLEASE NOTE: Because these pieces are made from vintage tins, the metal surface may be uneven and/or have imperfections, tiny dings or scratches. To me, this is part of the piece's history. Please look carefully at the photos before purchasing so you know what imperfections exist, & so you are happy with your purchase!
