Copper Cicada Wing Earrings with Vesuvianite

These copper cicada wings have been formed by cutting out the shape from a  pancake die in a hydraulic press. Various stamps have been used by hand to give a very southwest vibe. Both wings have been backed with another stamped layer of copper sheet. A 6mm olive green vesuvianite cab rests in the center of both. The copper has been oxidized (blackened) in liver of sulphur, sanded to bring out the highlights of the silver, & then tumbled in steel shot to make it shine. Handmade sterling silver earwires.  2 1/4" long from earlobe, and 3/4" wide. Lightweight.
