China Moon Pendant in Sterling Silver
This pendant is made with a winter white Czech glass button with a serene face that resembles the moon. Below it is a teardrop shaped section of a broken china plate from stone cutter Sierra Stone Studios. The pattern is of an Asian evergreen bonsai in soft blue & creamy white. Sierra Stone Studios upcycles broken pottery and china by creating cabochons from the broken pieces. Jewelers like myself buy them to create unique, fun jewelry that promotes reusing materials that would otherwise end up in a landfill.
This setting for this piece is completely hand-fabricated by me in recycled sterling silver. 2 lovely sterling silver "leaves" are on either side of the China teardrop. The entire piece is oxidized with liver of sulphur and buffed and polished to bring out the highlights of the metal. Suspended from an 18" bright sterling silver rolo chain with lobster clasp closure.
You will receive the exact pendant pictured.
