Iridescent Pink/Purple Cultured Opal Heart Milagro Pendant in Sterling Silver

There are actually 2 sparkly, iridescent opals in this pendant! The heart is mesmerizing, with flashes of pink & purple, in various shades of each, depending on how the light hits the stone. The other is a 6mm round white opal, with flashes of pink, purple blue & green. Both are cultured opals - which means "lab grown" or synthetic.

I've set the heart on 2 layers of recycled sterling silver sheet. It is framed with smooth fine silver bezel wire. I've sawed, by hand, flames from the back layer of the pendant, and soldered the round opal setting to that. This gives the look of a "milagro." Pendant is 1 3/4" in length.

You can purchase the pendant only, to add to a chain you already have, or purchase it with an 18" sterling silver rolo chain with lobster clasp closure. Keep in mind that you may need to use 2 sets of pliers to string the pendant on to the chain, unless the clasp is small enough to fit through the jump ring.

The pendant is oxidized with liver of sulphur & polished to accentuate the highlights and bring dimension to the piece.
