Leland Blue Textured Band Ring in Sterling Silver size 10.75
This 6mm luminescent blue "stone" is actually Leland Blue - a waste by-product of iron ore smelting in the late 1800's. Large hunks of this glass slag were dumped into Lake Michigan. Artsy people discovered the beauty when pieces would wash ashore, like sea glass. Now stone cutters create beautiful cabs with it, with colors ranging from green to blue to purple. There's a finite amount of this substance available, since iron is no longer created this way. That makes this material as pricy as many gemstones! It is held in a smooth silver bezel, soldered to a wide size 10.75 sterling silver band that has been textured in a rolling mill. Perfect for a man, but definitely unisex!
