Serpent Guardians Pendant with Cultured Opal in Sterling Silver
I put my hydraulic press to use again to create these cute little snakes. Made with brute force by pressing 22 gauge sterling silver sheet against a steel die, over and over. They are soldered to a backing of 22 gauge sterling silver sheet. One is granulated for texture, the other is set on smooth, oxidized (black) sterling silver. In both pendants, the snakes hug a triangular cultured opal with flashes of rainbow goodness. Each are suspended from a 18" bright sterling silver chain. The pendants have been oxidized in liver of sulphur and polished to bring out the highlights of the silver.
